V3iT has envisioned this model of service delivery and has assumed the software service to be delivered over the internet. With VPN and other secure technologies maturing, it is really secure these days to get these services remotely over the internet.

The key characteristics of SaaS, according to IDC, include[1]: network-based access to, and management of, commercially available packaged application (i.e., non-custom) software, such as an ERP and extended ERP applications.
                   

Activities that are managed from central locations rather than at each customer's site, enabling customers to access applications remotely via the Web

Application delivery that typically is closer to a one-to-many model than to a one-to-one model, including architecture, pricing, partnering, and management characteristics

There are two types of SaaS providers. The first has often been referred to as an Application Service Provider (ASP), the second is software on Demand.

V3iT has attempted to use the ASP model and turn this around to be a fixed monthly fee for a software service using innovative idea of shared resources model.

How do we do it?

In today's world, there are several challenges.We may sound biased here, but we really are a people-business and we care immensely for human values. Women are professionals equally poised with men in most aspects. They however cannot travel because of their home and domestic responsibilities. They need to be at a place and do not worry about how much they get paid as long as they stay current. Our founder and president is also a woman and she had several colleagues of hers facing the same challenge. We found an elegant offering in form of VERC which helped boost their consulting career ambitions of staying current and adept at technology and yet staying local. Very soon we found that Men also faced similar constraints. We believe a successful venture is one where opportunity matches requirement and efficient results are achieved. Our solutions stem from this simple philosophy and many more of such innovative ideas.
